Abuja industrial area to enjoy 24-hour electricity with 50MW mini-grid – Minister, Tegbe

Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, announced that the Idu Industrial Area in Abuja will soon enjoy 24-hour electricity supply through the Federal Government’s 50-megawatt electrification initiative. The first phase of the project is expected to deliver 10MW by December 2026, with the remaining 40MW rolled out through 2027. Tegbe also highlighted the significance of the Lagos industrial corridor, which accounts for approximately 40 percent of national electricity demand.
