Access to Drinking Water: ONEP Adopts a New Strategy and Signs a Partnership

The National Office of Drinking Water (ONEP) signed an agreement on September 25, 2026, with a private entity to facilitate access to drinking water for future real estate projects. Nabintou Cissé, the CEO of ONEP, and Siriki Sangaré, president of the CNPC-CI, agreed to establish a collaborative framework to address the ongoing water shortages reported in housing development projects in Abidjan and across Côte d’Ivoire. The director emphasizes the need for a coordinated response to this persistent issue. The agreement aims to improve water supply on construction sites.
