Adamawa High Court suspends ADC state congresses

A High Court in Adamawa State has ordered the suspension of congresses planned by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) starting April 9, 2026. The suspension order was issued by Justice Ahmed Isah, pending the determination of a case brought by the party's state chairman, Yohanna Shehu, who is protesting his alleged exclusion from the congress planning process. The case is scheduled for hearing on April 15.
