ADC judgment: ‘You’re desperate to please your paymaster’ — Presidency hits back at US lobbying firm

Dada Olusegun, President Bola Tinubu’s special assistant on social media, rejected US firm Von Batten-Montague-York’s allegation that the government influenced the ruling that nullified Atiku Abubakar’s candidacy. The firm had accused Tinubu of electoral interference and said it would show the Trump administration and US Congress a post by Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo celebrating the ruling. Olusegun said Tinubu and the ruling party had no part in Atiku’s legal troubles, calling Atiku the architect of his own misfortune. He accused the firm of trying to please its paymaster and predicted Atiku would suffer a heavy defeat in January’s election.
