ADC to FG: Stop measuring success by rescues, prevent kidnappings

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Saturday urged the Nigerian Federal Government to stop measuring security success by the number of rescue operations and instead focus on preventing kidnappings. While welcoming the rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State after 56 days in captivity, the ADC called for the same urgency for victims still held in Borno State and Kaiama, Kwara State. The party said the true measure of success is whether parents can send their children to school without fear and Nigerians can go about their daily lives without threat.
