Adebutu’s omission proves he will be Ogun’s next governor, says Sowunmi-Kolapo

Lateefat Sowunmi-Kolapo, the PDP’s deputy governorship candidate in Ogun for the 2027 election, said Oladipupo Adebutu’s absence from an INEC-published list was an unintended omission and, in her view, proof of the PDP’s coming victory. Speaking after Friday prayers at the Nawair-ud-deen Mosque in Abeokuta, she said the ruling APC’s celebration showed panic over an impending defeat and praised INEC Chairman Joash Amupitan’s integrity. She pledged that Ogun’s resources would benefit its people, with a PDP government prioritising citizens’ welfare and local government financial autonomy. Muslim community leaders in the state declared support for the Adebutu–Sowunmi-Kolapo ticket.
