Adopt play-based learning to strengthen basic education - Jigawa SUBEB urges teachers

Jigawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) urged teachers to adopt play-based learning methods to enhance children's education. Chairman Professor Haruna Musa made the call during the 2026 International Day of Play celebration at Kiyawa Special Primary School. UNICEF representative Malam Mukhtar Muhammad emphasized that play is a fundamental right and helps develop critical thinking and life skills. Children expressed joy and urged parents and teachers to allow them to enjoy their right to play.
