Adoption of the bill on rental leases at the National Assembly

On June 4, 2026, the National Assembly adopted a bill on rental leases initiated by MP Venance Eyanga Mboyo. The bill mandates rent payment in Congolese francs, creates a national rental register and lease permit, and strengthens market control. Twenty of 49 articles were amended. The bill will be sent to the Senate for a second reading.
