AES aims to turn its 70 million consumers into an economic force – La Nouvelle Tribune

The Ministers of Industry and Commerce from Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger gathered in Bamako to discuss establishing a common market within the AES, which has a potential of 70 million consumers. They adopted a framework to harmonize laws, facilitate free movement of goods and people, and mobilize funding to leverage the region’s natural, agricultural, fisheries, and technological resources. The goal is to turn this market into a major economic driver for the three countries.
