AFAN to FG: Create National Committee to curb farmer–herder clashes

The President of the All-Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Mohammed Magaji, has urged the Federal Government to establish a national committee to prevent conflicts between farmers and herders due to insecurity undermining agricultural productivity. He emphasized that insecurity, particularly in the North-West and North-East, keeps farmers from accessing their lands. Magaji proposed that this committee focus on conflict prevention rather than resolution, with support from several state commissioners.
