Akor Adams will lead the Super Eagles' attack in Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Madagascar in Uyo, due to Victor Osimhen's injury. The Venezia striker, 26, was favored over other call-ups such as George Ilenikhena and Taiwo Awoniyi. Since his debut last October, Adams has scored six goals in 15 appearances for Nigeria. The Group L match will kick off at 5 pm local time at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
