AFCON 2027Q: Super Eagles step up preparations, depart for Bissau Sunday

The Super Eagles will resume training on Sunday morning as they prepare for their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau. Head coach Éric Chelle and his players are scheduled for a closed-door session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo before departing for Bissau at 2 p.m., following a recovery workout after their 2-1 victory over Madagascar. Nigeria will face Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Bissau, with Guinea-Bissau currently leading Group L on goal difference ahead of Nigeria.
