AFCON qualifiers: Wissa guides DR Congo to win, Tunisia held by Botswana | Football | Al Jazeera

Yoane Wissa of Newcastle scored the opening goal and assisted the second as DR Congo defeated Zimbabwe 2-1 in their AFCON qualifier in Harare. DR Congo, which reached the last 32 of the 2026 World Cup, is leading Group E with six points after a 2-0 win over Equatorial Guinea. Zimbabwe scored a late consolation goal through Munetsi but could not equalize. Meanwhile, Botswana held Tunisia to a draw, with both teams earning one point each.
