Ronald Mlalazi, the confederation's president, highlights that up to 30% of global oil flows are affected, leading to increased fuel and fertilizer prices. Countries in East and Southern Africa, such as Kenya and Tanzania, are implementing emergency measures in response to rising costs and fertilizer shortages, which could directly impact food prices and inflation.
