Africa contributes the least to global greenhouse gas emissions yet faces the most severe climate-related health impacts, including the spread of malaria, dengue, and cholera. Malnutrition, worsened by droughts and floods, is one of the largest climate-sensitive health risks on the continent. In Bonn, African negotiators, experts, and youth leaders gathered for a capacity-building workshop supported by IISD to place health at the center of the climate agenda. AGN Chair Nana Dr Antwi-Boasiako Amoah stated that 'health is the human face of the climate crisis.'
