Africa's latest demand for air cargo is weakest in the world

In July 2026, air cargo demand in Africa increased by only 1.1%, the weakest of all global regions. In contrast, airlines in the Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe recorded year-on-year growths of 4.1%, 4.8%, and 4.4%, respectively. Despite a 7.5% increase in global trade and export orders reaching their highest level in three months, geopolitical tensions and tariff uncertainty remain significant concerns.
