A session of NATO's DEEP program will take place in Morocco by the end of 2026 or early 2027 to train non-commissioned officers from several African armies. This announcement follows the African Lion 2026 military exercise held between Morocco and nearly forty partner nations. Morocco joined DEEP in 2025, and the Moroccan ambassador to the European Union, Ahmed Réda Chami, is leading discussions with the Alliance for this session.
