After rescue of 416 captives in Borno, 11 more kidnapped women regain freedom

Within 24 hours of the rescue of 416 residents of Ngoshe community in Borno State, abducted three months ago by suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, 11 women from Dille community in Askira/Uba, kidnapped seven months earlier while on a fishing expedition, were freed and reunited with their families. The Nigerian Army's Operation HADINKAI conducted the operations. Askira/Uba local government chairman Mada Saidu expressed gratitude to security agencies. Meanwhile, the Ngoshe Stakeholders Forum denied reports attributing the rescue of the 416 captives to any individual or unrecognized group.
