Agadir University Professor Receives 4 Years in Prison in Master’s Degree Fraud Case

A professor from Ibn Zohr University in Agadir was sentenced to four years in prison for fraud and the illegal sale of master’s degrees. The court also imposed a fine of MAD 237,000. Other co-defendants received similar sentences, while one defendant was acquitted. The case dates back to May 2025, when the professor was arrested for corruption allegations related to manipulating admissions and granting degrees in exchange for money.
