Again, armed herders invade Benue community, shoot resident, loot shops

On Thursday morning, suspected armed herders attacked the Ankpechi community in Ohimini Local Government Area, Benue State, Nigeria. They shot a resident and looted several provision stores. Local council chairman Gabriel Adole confirmed the attack and said security forces had been deployed. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
