AGF joins ex-lawmakers in asking court to deregister ADC, Accord, three other parties

The Forum of former Legislators has received support from the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) in its request to the Federal High Court in Abuja to deregister five political parties, including ADC and Accord. The AGF argued that the continued existence of these parties, which have failed to meet constitutional requirements, undermines Nigeria's electoral integrity. The suit, marked FHC/ABJ/CS/2637/2026, seeks to determine whether INEC has a constitutional obligation to remove parties that fail to meet electoral performance thresholds.
