Agriculture in Benin: Producers Informed About State Premium Access Conditions

Producers of cotton, rice, cashew, and soy in Benin are now aware of the criteria to access state premiums. The National Chamber of Agriculture of Benin outlined three categories of conditions: production, processing, and marketing. The government announced a premium of 10 FCFA per kilogram for cotton farmers if national production reaches 700,000 tons during the 2026-2027 campaign. The president of CNA-Benin urged producers to direct their raw materials to local factories to strengthen agricultural sovereignty.
