Nigeria's agricultural export earnings fell by 36.09% year-on-year to N802.99 billion in Q2 2026, down from N1.26 trillion in Q2 2025. The top five agro exports included cashew nuts, cocoa beans, sesame seeds, superior quality cocoa beans, and soya beans. Lagos State's Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, emphasized the need for better integration of agriculture with sectors like energy and finance to strengthen the industry.
