Air Tanzania suspends flights to Russia citing safety concerns

Air Tanzania has suspended its direct flights between Dar-es-Salaam and Moscow effective September 4, 2026, due to a safety assessment along the route. The airline stated that affected passengers would be offered a full refund or rebooking at no additional cost. Air Tanzania launched these flights in July 2026, becoming the only airline to offer scheduled passenger flights between Russia and Tanzania.
