Akwa Ibom: CSO seeks participatory governance at grassroots

The civil society organization Policy Alert called for strengthened citizen engagement in local governance during a town hall meeting in Okobo. Idorenyin Eyo emphasized that citizen participation, especially among youth and women, is crucial for improving service delivery and enhancing accountability. Participants raised concerns about the completion of a primary healthcare center and the shortage of teachers in local schools.
