Akwa Ibom Govt to train 2,272 village youth president on security

The Akwa Ibom State Government has completed verification and accreditation of 2,183 village youth presidents out of 2,272 gazetted villages for training by security agencies. Verification for the remaining 89 is ongoing. The Youth Commissioner, Dr Ekerette Ekanem, stated that the initiative aims to strengthen grassroots security and development, and the government has increased the monthly allowances for youth corps members from N5,000 to N20,000.
