Al-Sissi Receives the CIA: Cairo Acts as Mediator Between Washington and Tehran

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi met with CIA Director John Ratcliffe in Cairo to discuss the Iranian crisis and regional stability. Al-Sissi expressed Egypt's support for a comprehensive agreement to resolve the Iranian crisis and reaffirmed the rejection of any infringement on the sovereignty of Arab states. Tensions in the region have escalated following attacks by the U.S. and Israel on Iran in February.
