Alexander Zverev wins French Open to claim first Grand Slam title

Alexander Zverev won his first Grand Slam title by defeating Flavio Cobolli in the French Open final (6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7, 6-1) after four hours and 16 minutes. He became the first German man to win a major since Boris Becker in 1996. Cobolli, 24, was playing his first Grand Slam final. Zverev dedicated the win to his team after previous final losses.
