This mirrors the exclusion of Rayan Aït-Nouri, who was sent home from the senior team after an incident during a match against Zambia. Coach Rafik Saïfi may also stop calling him up as he builds the squad for upcoming competitions, including the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
