Algeria civil defence recovers body of 10-year-old boy from well

The body of Ayoub, a 10-year-old boy, was recovered from a well in el-Bayadh province after a four-day rescue operation. Ayoub fell into the dry well while walking home in the village of Errokn. Rescue teams had to dig a parallel shaft to reach the boy due to the depth and challenging conditions. His death has revived public debate in Algeria over the safety of unsecured wells in rural areas.
