The Algerian Football Federation denies paying Vladimir Petkovic €4.2 million after his departure as national team coach. Secretary General Nadir Bouzenad says the matter is closed and that the federation’s decisions will be available at its next federal bureau meeting; a financial report is also expected after the next ordinary general assembly. The FAF announced the separation on August 3, following Algeria’s elimination in the 2026 World Cup round of 16; according to several sources, Petkovic accepted an amicable separation with three months’ salary, or about €500,000.
