Eintracht Frankfurt defender Lilian Brassier will make his Togo debut at age 27 for the two-match clash with Algeria in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Born in France to a Guadeloupean father and a Togolese mother, he accepted coach Patrice Neveu’s approach after several months of consideration. Trained at Rennes and established at Brest, Brassier regained his best form after spells at Marseille and Frankfurt. He could feature in a back three alongside Kévin Boma and captain Djene Dakonam.
