Algeria-USA: A Historic Treaty Highlighted by Washington

The U.S. Embassy in Algiers highlighted the significance of the Treaty of Peace and Friendship signed in 1795, noting it as one of the first diplomatic commitments made by the U.S. with a foreign country. This reminder brings to light the long-standing relations between Algeria and the United States, which continue to evolve through active diplomatic and consular exchanges. Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf recently met with Massad Boulos, a senior advisor to the U.S. president, to discuss bilateral relations.
