Algeria: “We share some responsibility” — a player overlooked by Petkovic refuses to blame him

Ilan Kebbal, rarely used by Vladimir Petkovic and left out of Algeria’s 2026 World Cup squad, said that players also share some responsibility for the team’s decisions. In an interview with influencer Just Riadh, the Paris FC attacking midfielder expressed his love for Algeria and described the particular pressure of playing for the national team. He named Ibrahim Maza and Rayan Aït-Nouri as the players who impress him most, praising Aït-Nouri’s versatility and defensive ability. Recalled by Brahim Hemdani, Kebbal made his first national-team start against Niger on October 6.
