Algeria: “What he’s doing is magnificent,” Mahrez raves about the young Fennec

Riyad Mahrez praised the talent, work ethic and humility of 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Ibrahim Maza, whom he knows from the Algerian national team. The former Algeria captain spoke after helping Al-Shamal beat Al-Sailiya 5-0 in the Qatar Stars League, scoring once and providing three assists. Maza, who finished ninth in the Kopa Trophy rankings, is highly promising and has what it takes to build a great career, Mahrez said. He also wished Maza and Algeria’s other young players continued progress with their clubs and the national team.
