Alibaba Brings Cloud and Artificial Intelligence to the First Youth Olympic Games in Africa

Alibaba Group, in partnership with the International Olympic Committee and the Dakar 2026 organizing committee, will provide cloud and artificial intelligence technology for the Youth Olympic Games, the first Olympic event held on African soil. Organizers will deploy a private cloud based on Alibaba Cloud’s Apsara Stack for digital operations, including ticketing and e-visa processing. Alibaba Cloud’s ticketing system is expected to manage online sales and access control for more than one million tickets across seven venues and the official Festival Site. The IOC and organizers say the technology will streamline the Games and leave Senegal with digital capabilities for future events and public services.
