Alleged certificate forgery: Ex-Minister Nnaji pleads not guilty, gets N20m bail

Uche Nnaji, former Minister of Science and Technology, pleaded not guilty at the Federal High Court in Abuja to six counts of certificate forgery filed by the ICPC. He is accused of forging a degree certificate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and a NYSC discharge certificate during his ministerial screening in 2023. The court granted him bail of N20 million with a surety who must be a civil servant of grade level 15 or above, residing in Abuja, and seized his passport. Trial is set for July 21.
