Allowing parallel law enforcement institutions will escalate insecurity - Group to Tinubu, DSS, Police

The Vocalpoint Human Rights Initiative (VOHRI) urged the federal government and the Nigeria Police Force not to allow the formation of parallel law enforcement institutions. During a press conference in Ibadan, the group expressed concerns over an incident involving the Iru-Ẹkun Security Network led by Sunday Igboho, which allegedly obstructed the arrest of a suspect. VOHRI emphasized that only the police and legally authorized security agencies should carry out law enforcement functions.
