Almajiri: I established my university in Yola to invest in North, not for profit — Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar defended his decision to establish the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola, stating that the institution was created to invest in education and the development of the North. He emphasized that he had transferred ownership of the university to the community and highlighted programs like Feed and Read that support vulnerable children. Atiku also recalled AUN's intervention following the 2014 Chibok schoolgirls' abduction.
