Alphadjo Cisse: Which African national team could AC Milan’s new rising star play for?

Born in Treviso in 2006 to parents of Guinean origin, Alphadjo Cisse scored a hat-trick in 49 minutes during AC Milan’s 4-0 win over Salzburg on October 15. At 19, the attacking midfielder ended Milan’s 24-year wait for a hat-trick in European competition, a feat last achieved by Filippo Inzaghi in 2002. After developing at Hellas Verona, he scored 16 goals in the Italian youth league in 2023-24 and recorded six goals and an assist in 22 Serie B appearances for Catanzaro. His Guinean roots could make an African national team an option, but the article says he apparently has no ties to Senegal.
