Aminata Sy autopsy: strangulation asphyxia undermines Karamo’s account

The autopsy of 17-year-old Aminata Sy concluded that she died of asphyxia caused by strangulation, contradicting the account reportedly given by 35-year-old Karamo Cissé Ndiaye, who said she had fallen and he had tried to revive her. The medical report noted a scalp hematoma, neck abrasions and bruising around the larynx. Sy, whose body was found in a rice sack with her right hand tied to her feet, was buried at Ngaolé cemetery. Cissé Ndiaye is expected at the Saint-Louis Research Section as investigators continue to establish what happened and determine any responsibility.
