Aminu Atiku appointed Sarkin Zamfaran Zurmi

Governor Dauda Lawal approved the appointment of Alhaji Aminu Atiku as the new Emir and Sarkin Zamfaran Zurmi of the Zurmi Emirate Council. This decision was announced by the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government, Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, following the recommendation of the Kingmakers. Aminu Atiku succeeds Alhaji Bello Suleiman, who passed away on August 31, 2026, and is the eldest son of the 19th Emir of Zurmi, the late Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
