AMVCA becoming more about fashion than films — DGN president, Uche Agbo

Uche Agbo, the National President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, expressed concern that the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) are increasingly associated with fashion discussions rather than filmmaking. He noted that post-ceremony conversations often focus on celebrities' outfits instead of acting performances. Agbo called for filmmakers to take responsibility in promoting their films with the same energy currently devoted to fashion.
