Angola floods: Dozens killed as heavy rains overwhelm rivers and infrastructure

Flooding caused by heavy rains has resulted in at least 29 deaths in Luanda and Benguela, affecting over 34,000 people. President João Lourenço expressed condolences and stated that the country is in a 'race against the clock' to rescue victims. The flooding has also damaged thousands of homes and public infrastructure, including roads and bridges.
