Animated map shows spread of illegal Israeli settlements across Palestine

Israeli settlements are Jewish-only communities built illegally on Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. According to the anti-settlement organization Peace Now, there are at least 148 illegal settlements in the West Bank and 15 in East Jerusalem, housing around 750,000 Israelis. In 2025 alone, nearly 28,000 housing units were advanced within existing settlements, indicating significant growth.
