Anti-erosion efforts: over 200 people already compensated in Kananga

At least 209 people affected by the Urban Emergency and Resilience Project in Kananga (PURUK) have been compensated, allowing some to relocate under better conditions. Project coordinator Jean-Michel Bunku stated that this compensation aims to assist those whose plots have been swallowed by ravines. Funded by the World Bank, the project involves ten erosion sites and plans to start work on thirteen more sites within a month and a half.
