The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) has raised concerns about the increasing number of Air Operator Certificates (AOCs) being issued to new airlines, stating that existing aviation infrastructure may not be sufficient to support this growth. Professor Obiora Okonkwo, AON spokesperson, emphasized the need to discuss the necessary infrastructure to accommodate new aircraft, despite welcoming increased competition. He also noted that several more AOCs are expected to be issued by the end of the year, which could further strain existing infrastructure.
