APR: Former Minister Abdoulaye Bibi Baldé Leaves Macky Sall

Former Minister Abdoulaye Bibi Baldé announced the creation of his own political party, the Rassemblement pour la transformation écosystémique du Sénégal (RTES), during a meeting in Kolda on September 5. He justified this initiative by citing a degradation of the social fabric in Senegal and clarified that his party does not position itself in outright opposition but aims to transform the system with a focus on the economy. Baldé held several ministerial positions under Macky Sall before suspending his activities within the APR in October 2024.
