Argungu Emir advises communities to acquire weapons legally for self-defence against bandits

The Emir of Argungu, Alhaji Muhammad Samaila Mera, advised his subjects to legally acquire weapons for self-defence against bandit attacks. He urged communities to raise funds for legally approved weapons, stating that this would deter attackers. He clarified that Islam does not encourage passivity in the face of violence, but warned against ethnic violence and extrajudicial killings.
