Army arrests nine suspected drug dealers, hands over illicit drugs to NDLEA in Yobe

Troops of the 27 Task Force Brigade of the Nigerian Army arrested nine suspected drug dealers in Buni Yadi, Yobe State, on September 19, 2026. The suspects, including Hassan Ibrahim and Ahmed Mohammed Shuwa, were handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) the following Tuesday. Illicit substances such as cannabis sativa and tramadol were recovered during the operation, which aimed to disrupt criminal activities linked to terrorism.
